Photo of the Day

Maybe I went a little bit overboard – this is more than a photo of the day – but they are too good not to share, and I did edit out about half, which was hard to do. Complied on the Denver Post website, these photographs were taken from 1939 to 1943 by photographers of the Farm Security Administration and Office of War Information of a post-depression/early war era rural America. Reproductions from color slides. Photographs by Russell Lee, Alfred T. Palmer, and John Vachon. Prints and Photographs Division, Library of Congress.

Thought provoking bunch of pictures. Even though people had very tough lives, they still managed to put on their best for a barbeque or a Sunday trip to town! Loved the hats! Men and women!
