Ahorn Magazine

Untitled (Wooden Caravan) - Malwine Rafalski

Ahorn Magazine is an online magazine devoted to contemporary photography that I have been following for awhile; the material has been getting stronger with each issue and I think it is becoming quite solid. They are hoping to put out their first print issue and as a way to generate revenue they are giving away prints featured in the magazine with every donation. I liked some of the prints available and I wanted to help them get a physical issue out so I picked a print and picked a number (basically what I would be willing to pay for a glossy photo magazine at Issues) and donated. Several days ago an envelope with impeccable penmanship arrived from Germany with a lovely little print inside. I was a somewhat disappointed that it wasn’t signed but it is numbered and will frame up nicely regardless. Now I want another one to match it. They are still offering prints for donations so if you would like a bit of art for your walls, and to help Dan and Anya succeed in their endeavor, head over to Ahorn.
