INNA pickle INNA jam

I had the good fortune last summer to meet Dafna Kory at a Bay Area barbecue. Good because she brought along three kinds of pickled carrots so tasty that they rivaled the pulled pork sandwiches that were the featured menu item (as for the jam, a jar was passed around and we simply took turns eating it straight, with a spoon). I left that afternoon convinced that I could reproduce the experience in my own kitchen, and while I think my spicy ginger carrots turned out pretty well, INNA pickles are still some of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The names themselves, INNA pickle and INNA jam, are pretty irresistible, no? Dafna is offering a subscription of seasonal pickles and jams, 12 for the year. Time to start saving up…
